Cheese Souffle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 sliced white bread (without crusts)
    4 Tbsp. butter
    2 c. grated Swiss or Cheddar cheese
    1 Tbsp. flour
    4 eggs
    1 1/2 c. milk
    ham bits or bacon bits
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    parsley
    sliced, sauteed onions, mushrooms, green and red peppers (optional ingredients)
Preparation
    Butter bread with 2 tablespoons butter, place upside down in 8 x 8-inch glass baking dish.
    Saute onions, mushrooms, green and red pepper, ham or bacon bits in 2 tablespoons butter.
    Sprinkle over bread.
    Dust cheese with flour and sprinkle over.
    Whisk eggs, add milk, salt, pepper and parsley.
    Pour over bread.
    Cover and refrigerate 4 hours or overnight.
    Bake, uncovered, 35 minutes until fluffy and brown at 375\u00b0.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
