Whole Cranberry Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. fresh cranberries
    1 c. chopped walnuts
    3/4 c. orange juice
    2 Tbsp. melted shortening
    1 egg, slightly beaten
Preparation
    Sift together first five ingredients.
    Add and mix cranberries and walnuts thoroughly to cook.
    Heat orange juice.
    Add shortening and egg.
    Blend into dry ingredients, mixing until just blended.
    Pour into well-greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven 1 hour.
    Remove from pan to cool.
    Flavor improves if bread is stored one day.
    Colorful dish for the holidays.
