Chess Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    1 c. whipping cream or half and half
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
    1/2 c. chopped dates or raisins
    1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
Preparation
    Cream butter and brown sugar until smooth.
    Add flour, salt and eggs.
    Beat until almost smooth, then beat 2 minutes longer. Stir in whipping cream and vanilla until mixed well.
    Stir in nuts and dates.
    Pour into unbaked pie shell.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes until top of filling is dark golden brown.
    Serve warm or cooled.
    Refrigerator is used for cool pie.
