Brown Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1 c. corn meal
    1 c. wheat flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. molasses
    2 c. sour milk (2 Tbsp. vinegar in 2 c. milk)
Preparation
    Mix ingredients and beat well.
    Add raisins, if desired. Grease 2 one-pound coffee cans.
    Pour 1/2 mix in each can.
    Place double thickness of aluminum foil over each can and hold on with a rubber band.
    Place on rack or towels in bottom of pan.
    Fill with boiling water 1/3 way up cans and cover tightly.
    Check occasionally to be sure there is water in pan.
    Steam for 3 hours.
