Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening (Crisco)
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    2 c. self-rising flour
Preparation
    Blend the sugar and shortening together with a fork.
    Add eggs, vanilla and gradually add the flour, one cup at a time.
    It will seem a little dry.
    Spoon out on cookie sheet, ungreased, and bake in oven at 325\u00b0 for about 20 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
    When you take them out, they will be soft, but as they cool, they will become firmer.
    Do not overcook.
