Fruit Cocktail Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    1 (16 oz.) can fruit cocktail
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Mix sugar, flour, soda and salt.
    Set aside.
    In mixing bowl, beat eggs; add fruit cocktail and vanilla.
    Stir in sugar mixture; pour into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch greased pan.
    Set aside.
