Old Fashioned Tea Cakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter or margarine
2 eggs, beaten
3 c. sifted flour (all-purpose)
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Cream the butter.
Gradually add sugar to butter.
Beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix well.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt.
Add to creamed mixture to make a soft dough.
Roll out thin on floured board or cloth. Cut into cookies.
Place on lightly greased baking sheet and bake 8 to 10 minutes.
Makes 6 dozen cookies.
