Amy'S Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks butter or oleo
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    1 egg, separated
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. crushed pecans
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add egg yolk, vanilla and flour. Spread evenly in a large rectangular greased pan.
    Brush lightly with beaten egg white.
    Sprinkle with pecans.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
    Cool slightly and cut into small squares.
    Yields 3 to 4 dozen.
