Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
2 Tbsp. milk
2 c. flour
2 c. rolled oats
2 c. corn flakes or Rice Krispies or one of each
2 c. coconut
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream sugars and shortening.
Add eggs and mix.
Add milk and vanilla.
Mix baking soda and salt with flour; add to creamed mixture.
Add the coconut.
Add oatmeal and corn flakes.
If desired, add 1/2 cup raisins and 1/2 cup chopped nuts.
Mixture will be thick.
Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet.
Flatten slightly with back of wet spoon.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Makes about 50 cookies.
