King Ranch Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 fryer chicken
3 Tbsp. butter
1 medium onion
1/2 lb. processed Cheddar cheese, grated
1 pkg. frozen tortillas
1 clove garlic (if desired)
Crisco
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can chicken soup
1 can tomatoes
Preparation

Boil chicken and take meat off bones; cut in bite sized pieces.
Saute onion and garlic in butter until tender.
Cut tortillas in fourths or sixths; dip in hot Crisco and remove quickly.
Put layer of tortillas on bottom of buttered casserole. Add onion and soup mix, then layer of chicken.
Repeat layers until dish is full.
Top with grated cheese.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 45 minutes.
