Fruit Cake Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter
    1 3/4 c. brown sugar
    1 c. flour
    5 eggs
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. nuts, finely chopped
    1 1/2 c. candied fruit
    1 tsp. vanilla or lemon extract
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add eggs.
    Combine flour and baking powder.
    Add to mixture.
    Add nuts, fruit and extract.
    Put in greased flat pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    Cool.
    Cut in bars and remove from pan.
