Squash Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. yellow squash (thinly sliced)
    2 c. onions
    2 lg. bell peppers
    1 sm. jar Pimentos
    1/4 c. salt
    3 c. sugar
    2 c. vinegar
    2 tsp. celery seed
    2 tsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Mix yellow squash, onions, bell peppers, and Pimentos and cover with salt, add ice, let stand 1 1/2 hours, drain. Mix sugar, vinegar, celery seed, and mustard seed. Simmer about 5 minutes. Add vegetables, bring to boil. Pack in jars and seal.
