Mom'S Quick Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    cooked ham chunks (country ham is best)
    1 can Great Northern beans
    1 can baby butter beans
    1 can Ro-Tel diced tomatoes with green chillies
    2 c. water
    1 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    If using uncooked ham, boil ham chunks in water.
    If too salty, pour off water and add 2 fresh cups boiling water.
    Add rest of ingredients.
    Do not drain beans.
    Cook until thickens to desired consistency.
    If using leftover ham, combine all ingredients and follow preceding directions.
