Mexican Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 large onion, chopped
    3 to 4 jalapeno peppers, chopped
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 c. corn meal (yellow, plain)
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. milk
    1/8 c. oil (Wesson or Crisco)
    1 can cream-style corn (medium)
    1/2 lb. grated sharp cheese
Preparation
    Saute beef, onion and peppers. Drain well and set aside.
    Mix together corn meal, salt and soda. Add eggs, oil, milk and corn. Grease a large iron skillet (cold).
    Pour 1/2 of the batter in skillet. Add meat mixture and top with cheese.
    Pour remaining batter on top. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until brown on top. (Start in cold oven.)
