Corn Bread Or Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Kitchen Craft corn meal
    1 c. Kitchen Craft flour
    3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. milk
    1/4 c. melted shortening
Preparation
    Sift flour, measure and sift again with corn meal, baking powder, sugar and salt.
    Beat egg slightly; add milk and shortening.
    Combine with dry ingredients, stirring only until moist.
    Pour into well-greased square pan (8 x 8 x 2-inch).
    Bake in moderately hot 425\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes or until done.
