Ingredients

1 c. melted Crisco, cooled
1 c. sugar
1 c. molasses
1 c. cold water
3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. each: salt, ginger and cinnamon
Preparation

Mix together the first 4 ingredients.
Sift together the flour, baking soda, salt, ginger and cinnamon; add to the first mixture.
Add enough more flour so that dough doesn't stick to fingers.
Roll out 1/3-inch thick.
Cut with large cutter.
Crease with fork; sprinkle with sugar.
Bake at 350\u00b0 until lightly browned (8 to 10 minutes).
