Zalabia - cooking recipe
Ingredients

7 1/2 lb. flour (to start with)
1 doz. eggs
1 lb. oleo, melted
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 gal. milk, warmed
1/3 c. salt
2 oz. cake yeast
Preparation

Combine cake yeast in the warmed milk
Beat eggs slightly, add melted oleo, sugar and warmed milk and yeast.
Mix well.
Add flour and mix.
You will need more flour, could use as much as 10 lb. of flour depending on size of eggs.
Knead until dough is smooth.
Let rest.
After 2 hours, cut into balls and let rest again.
Roll out like a pizza and cut into squares.
Fry in hot oil and sprinkle sugar, powdered sugar or cinnamon and sugar.
Of course, you can eat plain also.
