Brownies - cooking recipe

3/4 c. cake flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. shortening
2 or 3 sq. unsweetened chocolate
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. walnuts
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
Melt shortening and chocolate together.
Beat eggs well; add sugar gradually and beat thoroughly.
Add chocolate mixture and blend.
Add flour and mix well, then stir in nuts and vanilla.
Bake in greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan in moderate oven (350\u00b0) for 25 minutes for moist brownies or 30 minutes for cake-like brownies.
Cool in pan, then cut in squares.
