Ingredients

2 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. (8 3/4 oz.) pineapple tidbits
1 Tbsp. oleo
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 (1 lb.) can beets, sliced or chunked and drained
Preparation

Combine sugar, cornstarch and salt in a saucepan.
Stir in pineapple with juice.
Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and bubbles.
Add oleo, lemon juice and beets (that have been drained).
Cook over medium heat about 5 minutes or thoroughly heated.
