Pear Relish - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 peck pears
2 lb. sugar
5 c. vinegar
2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. pickling spice (tied in bag)
1 tsp. turmeric
5 to 7 hot peppers
3 onions
3 green peppers
4 red peppers
Preparation

Grate pears, hot peppers and onions.
Chop red and green peppers.
Mix and heat sugar, salt, turmeric and vinegar until sugar melts.
Add grated and chopped ingredients.
Bring to a boil. Cook 20 minutes.
Put in jars and seal.
