Blackberry Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 1/3 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1/8 tsp. salt
    4 eggs
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 c. blackberry preserves or canned berries or fresh berries
Preparation
    Cream sugar and butter.
    Add eggs and berries; beat well.
    Add all dry ingredients and beat thoroughly.
    Bake in layer pans or a big loaf pan in 350\u00b0 oven for 25 minutes.
    Makes two 10-inch layers or 1 large loaf.
