Potatoes Au Gratin - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 potatoes, sliced (raw)
    1 stick margarine
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 block Cheddar cheese (mild or sharp), shredded
    1 c. milk (sweet)
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Peel and slice potatoes.
    Place in bowl of cold water and let sit.
    In skillet on low fire, melt margarine.
    Add milk and flour a little at a time until smooth.
    Add shredded cheese and season to taste (salt and pepper).
    In Pyrex dish, place a layer of sliced potatoes.
    Pour cheese mixture over layer.
    Place second layer of potatoes and do the same.
    Bake in oven at 350\u00b0 until fork easily pierces potatoes.
