Chili Verde - cooking recipe
Ingredients

approximately 2 lb. lean pork, cubed
4 yellow onions, slivered
small or medium can or jar salsa verde (green salsa)
1 can garbonzo beans, drained
2 Tbsp. oil
pepper to taste
1/2 to 1 tsp. cumin
chopped fresh cilantro (approximately 1/4 c.)
1 small lunch size bag corn chips
Preparation

Saute onions.
When translucent, add cubed meat.
Cook for a few minutes, stirring constantly.
Add jar or can of salsa, garbanzo beans and all seasonings.
Stir.
Cover and let simmer very slowly for approximately 20 minutes.
Add bag of chips.
(The chips thicken the chili and provide salt.)
Finish cooking for another 10 minutes.
Serve over rice.
Serves 6.
Cooking time is 30 minutes.
