Minnie Kyttle'S Orange Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2/3 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. fresh orange juice
grated rind of 1 orange
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder

Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening.
Add grated rind and eggs.
Beat. Add orange juice alternately with dry ingredients.
Makes 3 layers.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
Frost with Orange Frosting.
