Chicken A La King - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. cooked chicken white meat, cut into bite size pieces
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. flour
    dash of paprika
    2 c. chicken broth
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. heavy cream
    1/4 c. milk
    2 egg yolks, beaten
    1 c. sliced mushrooms
    1/2 c. pimento strips
Preparation
    Melt butter in top of double boiler over medium direct heat. Add mushrooms and saute for 5 minutes.
    Blend in flour, salt and pepper, then add chicken broth, cream and milk.
    Bring to a boil over direct heat, then put pan over simmering water and cook for 5 minutes.
    Add about 1/2 of hot sauce to egg yolks, mix then return sauce with yolks to remaining sauce.
    Stir and cook for 1 minute. Add chicken and pimento and cook until heated.
    Serve over hot buttered toast points, baking powder biscuits or rice or in patty shells.
