Holiday Eggnog Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. unflavored gelatin
    1/4 c. cold water
    3/4 c. sweet butter, softened
    1 c. confectioners sugar
    4 large eggs, separated
    1/3 c. light rum
    1 c. chopped salted almonds
    1 c. whipping cream, whipped until stiff
    1 angel food cake (purchased or homemade)
    ground nutmeg (for garnish)
Preparation
    In a small bowl, soak gelatin in cold water 5 minutes.
    Place bowl in a small pan of hot water to dissolve gelatin completely and keep it warm.
