Hot Water Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. meal
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt
    dash of garlic salt
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients well.
    Quickly stir in water and drop by teaspoonful into hot oil or shortening.
    Fry until golden brown. If desired, make into patties.
