Lemon Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. chopped nuts
grated rind from 1 lemon
juice from one lemon, for topping
1/2 c. sugar, for topping
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening.
Add eggs, rind, and milk.
Mix well.
Add flour, salt, baking powder, nuts.
Mix well.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 1 hour.
While loaf is still hot, spread on the following mixture:
Juice of 1 lemon and 1/2 cup of sugar.
