Grandma'S Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. molasses
    1 egg
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Melt shortening in 4 quart saucepan over low heat.
    Remove from heat.\tLet cool.
    Add sugar, molasses, and egg.
    Beat well. Add remaining dry ingredients.
    Chill. Form 1 inch balls.
    Roll in granulated sugar and place on greased cookie sheets 2 inches apart.
    Bake in 375\u00b0 oven 8 to 10 minutes.
