Frosted Chews - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
6 c. Kellogg's Special K cereal
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels (1 c.)
1 (6 oz.) pkg. butterscotch morsels (1 c.)
1 c. peanut butter
Preparation

Place sugar and corn syrup in medium size pan. Stir to combine. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until mixture boils.
Remove from heat. Add peanut butter and mix well.
Add Special K. Stir until evenly coated.
Press mixture evenly and firmly in buttered 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
Cool.
Melt chocolate and butterscotch morsels together in top of double boiler over hot, but not boiling, water or in small saucepan over very low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
Spread evenly over Special K cereal mixture.
Let stand in cool place until firm.
Cut into bars to serve.
Yields 4 dozen frosted chews, 2 x 1-inch.
