Easy Fruit Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sliced, fresh peaches
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. water
    1 egg
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 Tbsp. milk
    1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Grease a glass baking dish, 11 x 7-inches. In medium size saucepan, combine peaches, 1/2 cup of the sugar and water.
    Bring to boil, stirring frequently.
    Keep mixture hot.
