Cherry Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 lb. margarine or Fluffo
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 can cherry pie filling (other ingredients may be used also)

Preparation

Mix all ingredients except filling.
Spread 3/4 of batter on greased 12 x 18-inch pan.
Cover with pie filling and dab remaining dough over filling and sort of pull together with spoon or spatula (filling will not be completely covered).
Bake in 375\u00b0 oven for approximately 30 minutes.
