English Trifle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pound cake
    jam (of your choice)
    sherry
    walnuts
    1 pkg. raspberry, strawberry or cherry jello
    sliced bananas
    lemon juice
    1 pkg. instant vanilla pudding
Preparation
    Cut cake in fingers, 1-inch thick.
    Butter them on one side. Place the fingers, buttered side down, in bottom of a large bowl which can be used to serve the dessert in.
    Spread top with jam and over this pour the sherry.
    Sprinkle with walnuts.
    Let stand.
