Waldorf Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 envelope Knox unflavored gelatine
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. water
1/4 c. lemon juice
2 c. diced apples
1/2 c. diced celery
1/4 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
Preparation

Mix together in saucepan the gelatine, sugar and salt.
Add water and stir over medium heat until gelatine and sugar are completely dissolved.
Remove from heat and add lemon juice.
Chill to consistency of unbeaten egg white.
Fold in apples, celery and nuts.
Chill until firm in mold or 9 x 13-inch Pyrex baking dish. Cut into squares and serve on lettuce.
Makes 6 servings.
