30 Day Cole Slaw - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. salad oil
2 c. white sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 c. vinegar (white)
1 heaping Tbsp. celery seed
1/2 tsp. turmeric
1 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
1 average head cabbage, shredded or cut fine
1 green pepper, diced fine
1 large onion, diced fine
1 large carrot, diced fine
Preparation

Bring to a boil the salad oil, sugar, salt, vinegar, celery seed, turmeric and mustard seed.
Boil 1 minute.
Cool.
Pour over cabbage, green pepper, onion and carrot mixture.
Mix and place in refrigerator up to 30 days.
Always crisp.
Let stand at least 24 hours before serving.
