Easy Buttermilk Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 4 1/2 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. active dry yeast
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/4 c. buttermilk
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. shortening
Preparation
    In a large bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups flour, yeast, sugar, salt and baking soda; mix well.
    In a small saucepan, combine buttermilk, water and shortening; place over low heat until hot. Gradually add the milk mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring to combine, then beat well until very smooth.
    Stir in the remaining flour until the mixture comes away from the sides of the bowl.
