Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2/3 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chopped dates
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in eggs, sour cream and vanilla. Combine flour, salt, soda and nutmeg and then stir into creamed mixture. Stir in dates and nuts. Drop by teaspoonful onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on sheets 5 minutes and then remove.
