Banana Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs, separated
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1 3/4 c. flour
    3 bananas, mashed with 6 Tbsp. sour cream
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. Crisco (solid)
    1/4 c. nuts, chopped (optional)
Preparation
    Mix sour cream, bananas and baking soda together.
    Combine all dry ingredients; set aside.
    Mix beaten egg yolks, sugar and Crisco well for about 2 minutes at medium speed.
    Alternately add mashed banana mixture and dry ingredients to the sugar mixture.
    Mix about 2 to 3 minutes more.
    Fold in beaten egg whites.
    Add nuts, if desired.
    Pour batter into a greased and floured Bundt pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 50 to 55 minutes.
    If making loaves, reduce baking time to 35 to 40 minutes.
