Quick Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 (No. 2 1/2) can tomatoes
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1/4 tsp. sweet basil
    1 tsp. thyme
    1 can corn, do not drain
    1 can carrots, do not drain
    1 can green beans, do not drain
    1 can peas, do not drain
Preparation
    Saute onion and brown beef over medium heat in shortening and oleo.
    Add remaining ingredients with seasonings.
    Bring to a boil and then simmer for 15 to 20 minutes or longer as desired.
