Oatmeal Cutout Cookies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. butter or margarine
3/4 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. milk
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. rolled oats
decorative colored sugar (optional)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.
Place in large mixing bowl along with butter, sugar, milk, egg and vanilla.
Beat until smooth.
Stir in oats.
On floured surface, roll out dough to 1/8-inch thickness.
Cut into shapes.
Decorate.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 9 to 10 minutes.
Remove and cool on wire racks.
Yields 2 1/2 dozen.
