Biscuit Tortoni - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 envelope plain gelatin
    1/4 c. cold water
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. milk, scalded
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. vanilla or 2 Tbsp. sherry
    1 c. heavy cream
    vanilla cookie crumbs
    maraschino cherries
Preparation
    Sprinkle gelatin on cold water in small bowl to soften.
    Stir until dissolved.
    Beat eggs in large bowl until thick.
    Add sugar gradually and blend well.
    Stir in milk, gelatin mixture, salt and flavoring.
    Chill until thick and syrupy.
    Whip cream enough to hold soft peaks.
    Fold into chilled mixture.
    Pour into 8 to 10 paper cups.
    Sprinkle crumbs on each and top with a maraschino cherry.
    Cover well and freeze until firm.
    May be kept frozen for some time.
