Weepless Pie Meringue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. hot water
    3 egg whites
    dash of salt
    6 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Combine cornstarch and 2 tablespoons sugar; stir in water. Cook over low heat until thickened and clear, stirring constantly. Cool. Beat egg whites and 6 tablespoons sugar well after each addition. Beat until very creamy. Pile on pie and bake 30 minutes at 325\u00b0, until golden brown. Covers 8 or 9-inch pie.
