Refrigerator Pan Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. hot water
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    2 pkg. dry yeast
    1 c. warm water
    1 beaten egg
    4 1/4 c. unsifted flour
Preparation
    Combine hot water, sugar, salt and shortening.
    Cool to lukewarm.
    Dissolve yeast and warm water.
    Add to first mixture. Then add 1 egg and 2 1/2 cups flour.
    Beat until smooth.
    Add remaining flour to make soft dough.
    Knead until smooth and elastic.
    Place in greased bowl, turning once to grease top. Store in refrigerator.
    Punch down dough when double.
    Divide and bake as needed.
