Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. corn meal
    2 Tbsp. melted shortening
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. boiling water
    1 c. milk
    1 egg
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. corn meal
Preparation
    Combine corn meal, melted shortening and salt.
    Pour over boiling water and let stand for 5 minutes.
    Stir in milk and egg. Combine and add baking powder and corn meal.
    Bake at 450\u00b0.
