German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. bacon
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1/4 tsp. paprika
    1/2 c. vinegar
    6 c. potatoes, precooked and sliced
    dash of freshly ground black pepper
    parsley and pimento (as garnish)
Preparation
    Cook bacon until crisp.
    Drain, crumble and reserve 1/3 cup bacon fat.
    Cook onion in reserved fat until tender.
    Blend sugar, flour, salt, paprika, celery seed and black pepper.
    Add vinegar and 1 cup of water.
    Cook and stir until bubbly and thick.
    Add bacon and potatoes.
    Toss lightly, making sure all contents are heated thoroughly.
    Garnish with parsley and pimento.
    Serves 8.
