Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. sliced cucumbers
    2 c. small onions
    2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. turmeric
    1 qt. vinegar
Preparation
    Soak cucumbers and onions in 2 quarts water with 1/2 cup salt overnight.
    Drain and wash off, then add seasons and heat.
    Do not boil.
    Seal in jars tightly.
