Apple Whip(Romania) - cooking recipe

1 lb. apples
2 1/2 cups water
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 oz. gelatine
Preparation

Wash and quarter the apples, remove seeds and boil until soft. Drain apples into another pot and sieve the apples (make a puree). The the drained apple liquid add gelatine, dissolve it, add sugar and return back to heat until it boils. Remove from heat. After the liquid has cooled, pour in a bowl, add the apple puree and whip until foamy. Pour into serving cups and serve. Other fruits may be used in the same manner.
