Mock Pierogi - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. elbow macaroni
    4 medium onions
    4 medium potatoes, cubed
    2 sticks oleo
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Peel potatoes and onions and cube.
    Boil potatoes; add salt. Melt oleo; add onions and saute.
    Season with salt and pepper to taste.
    Cook until onions are transparent.
    Mix potatoes into sauteed onions and let simmer for 10 minutes or more.
    Cook macaroni; mix altogether and enjoy.
    Save some of the potato water to add to mixture if too dry.
