Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. white Karo syrup
    1/4 c. margarine
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 eggs, beaten
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
Preparation
    Combine sugar, syrup, margarine and salt.
    Bring to boil over low heat.
    Pour mixture over beaten eggs (slowly), stirring constantly.
    Allow to cool and add vanilla and pecans.
    Pour into pie shell.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
    Reduce heat to 375\u00b0 and cook for 35 to 40 minutes.
    Do not preheat oven!
