Layer Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 small head lettuce, chopped
1/2 c. celery, chopped
1/2 c. purple onion, sliced
1 can LeSueur peas, drained
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1/2 c. cheese, shredded
1/4 lb. bacon, cooked and crumbled or 1/4 c. bacon bits
2 Tbsp. sugar
3 boiled eggs, chopped
Preparation

In a 7 x 11-inch glass dish, layer lettuce, celery, onion, peas and eggs.
Combine sugar and mayonnaise.
Spread evenly over dish to the edges.
Sprinkle with cheese and bacon or bacon bits. Cover and chill overnight.
Makes about 8 servings.
